Kia has released a short film featuring Peter Schreyer that provides an insight into the world of premium car design in which he explains the importance of proportion. In the presentation, Schreyer sketches the company's new K9 sedan, describing how a rear-wheel drive platform affects the car's design, with its generous wheelbase, short front overhang and the 'prestige distance' between the center of the front wheel and the A-pillar. The Mercedes S500 Hybrid Plug-In will show at Frankfurt

The S500 Vision will feature a V6 petrol engine paired with a 10kw lithium-ion battery pack and a 44kw motor. This combination will allow the hybrid Mercedes to travel over 18 miles on battery power alone. When the battery discharges the electric motor will power up the petrol engine.
